I was introduced to rock climbing at a very young age by my father. I went to a small climbing gym on occasion called Hidden Peak. In August, 2015, a new gym opened called First Ascent. My family got memberships there and we began to go ever so often. In 2016, my sister, Sydney Bock, joined First Ascent's climbing team. I soon followed in step, joining in 2017. We both began competitively rock climbing for fun and training to get better.
I loved rock climbing and had some sort of naive passion to get on walls. I went to dozens of climbing competitions, slowly improving and getting better placements. In 2019, I got first place for the first time at one of my competitions and I qualified for the Youth National Championships that was based in Portland, Oregon that year.
